Patient Advice and Liaison Service

As a patient, relative or carer, sometimes you may need to turn to someone for help, support or advice.

Listening

As a Patient, Relative or Carer, sometimes you may need to turn to someone for help, support or advice. Often, talking to a member of staff you know will give you the answers you need. However sometimes you might want to talk to someone who isn’t directly involved with your care, or you might not know who to ask. This is where the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) may be able to help.

PALS aims to:

  • listen
  • provide information
  • provide confidential advice, support and signposting
  • help to sort out concerns

PALS can:

  • listen to your concerns, suggestions or questions
  • provide information about Peninsula Community Health and NHS services
  • give confidential advice, support and signposting to patients, families and carers
  • help sort out concerns and problems with you, or on your behalf

We act impartially when handling patient and family concerns, liaising with staff, managers and, relevant organisations to help to find solutions.

We can also refer patients and families to local or national support agencies.

PALS can provide contact details for help with transport – call 0300 330 1444
