Minor Injury Units

Minor Injury Units (MIU) are run by highly skilled specialist nurses and are able to treat a range of minor conditions, which have occurred during the previous 48 hours, including:

  • Sprains and strains;
  • Broken bones;
  • Wound infections;
  • Minor burns and scalds;
  • Head injuries (where the person has not been unconscious)
  • Minor head injuries;
  • Insect and animal bites;
  • Minor eye injuries, and;
  • Minor injuries to the back, shoulder and chest.

MIU Locations

Bodmin Community Hospital (01208 251577) - 8am to 10pm every day. X-ray is closed 3 and 4 March.

Camborne and Redruth Community Hospital (01209 318010) - 8am to 10pm every day
