The Speech and Language Therapy service can provide a range of training sessions for organisations, groups or individuals on any topic related to speech, voice, communication or swallowing.

The types of training we have previously delivered include:

  • Training for Nursing Home staff on identification and management of swallowing difficulties
  • Voice care for teachers
  • How to help people who have communication difficulties after stroke
  • An update in communication problems for General Practitioners
  • Assisting people who have dementia.

Charges

Costs are £60 per hour. Additional charges may be incurred for developing the training, supplementary learning aids and travel costs. These will be identified and discussed so that you are fully aware of the costs before making a booking.

Cancellation Fees

A fee will be charged if a course is cancelled and not re booked.
