Peninsula Community Health & Care Charitable Funds

We are a charity, set up to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.

We do this – with your help – by funding developments to community based health services which are delivered to people in their local communities or often in their own homes. We raise money to help buy essential equipment and deliver new facilities for a wide range of community-based health services which include:

  • Community nursing
  • Community-based rehabilitation
  • End Of Life Care
  • Acute Care at Home
  • Community wellness projects
  • Dementia care within the community

Charitable Funds Board

Our Board of Directors is responsible for making sure that your donations deliver the most effective improvements to facilities and services to benefit patient care and safety.

Supporting care, closer to you...

Our Aims:

  1. Generate funds to support our charity
  2. Receive and manage donations responsibly and transparently
  3. Ensure funds are used appropriately with a clear benefit to patients

What matters to us

We want to put health first. Our local communities are the right place to start. We are passionate about communities and believe that by working closely together, we can improve the health of the wider population across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.

Supporting health

Healthcare is under pressure and our ageing population is growing, along with the increase of complex, long-term conditions. We work hard to be open, inclusive and accessible; so that everyone in the community can get involved and understand the support we are able to provide.

As well as directing donations to specific community services for equipment and improvements, we organise a range of fund-raising events and activities across community hospitals and other community venues.

Where your money goes

Your donations help us to develop services, support Community Hospitals and purchase vital equipment which all make significant improvements to patient care. Your support also helps to develop services delivered in the community and in patients’ homes which can reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and the length of time patients spend away from their home and family.

What matters to you?

You can get involved with Peninsula Community Health & Care Charitable Funds as little or as much as you want – whether it’s holding a fund-raising event in your local community, signing up to be a ’Friend’ of the Charity, or making a donation; we value your support and wouldn’t be here without you!
