Safety and best practice is at the heart of what we do. So much so that it is one of our strategic objectives.
We are passionate in our commitment to quality and place great importance on listening to our service users. The 2013 Francis Report followed an inquiry into what happened at Mid-Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust. The report outlined failures by individuals and all tiers of management, leading to tragedies which could have been prevented.
Patient care and safety is our absolute priority. To ensure that all staff understand this, we delivered a ‘Patient Care Road Show’ to all staff (clinical and non-clinical) across all sites to highlight the importance of patient safety. These meetings gave staff the opportunity to raise concerns, and develop ideas on how to share best practice to ensure that we are all delivering the very best care possible at all times.
